La Revolution: Snowpiercer

Based on the French graphic novel La Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette, ‘Snowpiercer’ is a Korean-American co-production directed by Bong Joon-ho, written by Bong and Kelly Masterson and starring Chris Evans, Kanh-ho Song, Jamie Bell and Tilda Swinton.

It has a very interesting premise that concerns itself with a post-apocalyptic world created by out-of-control global warming, and a (literally) non-stop train ride around the globe designed to shepherd the remnants of mankind away from the deathly night and keep them forever in the life-giving daylight. Unfortunately, as so often happens in closed environments, a class divide soon rears its ugly head. And someone has to take action to rectify the disparity…

Looks good.

‘Snowpiercer’ will be released in the US on June 27, with some other markets to follow.
